About Me
Ever since I can remember, I have enjoyed art. Copying pictures I liked, learning how to develop my skills. Trying out different mediums, such as pencil, coloured pencils, watercolour pencils, then moving on to paints. But, I found watercolour to be quite difficult.
During lockdown, I started getting back into art again.
I then decided to do dog portraits. This is when I started to improve my skills in watercolour.
I then moved on to recreating famous paintings in acrylics, playing with clay and then learning how to do digital art.
My Work
When I come to visit my family I love to take photographs everywhere I go. So over the years I have accumulated quite a number of photographs.
When I return back to the UK, I then enjoy turning my photographs into paintings, using watercolours or acrylics. Watercolours are quite delicate and acrylics are full on colour.
I enjoy highlighting the different textures to the landscapes and I like most of my paintings to have blue skies, as it just brightens any painting, rather than grey skies.
I interpret my photographs in my own unique style, I am self taught when it comes to watercolours. I am constantly learning, but enjoy what I do as I find art very relaxing. I am in my happy place when I am being creative.
I know my artwork is not precise, but I think this adds personality. I enjoy putting in the little details, whether it is landscapes or buildings.
